  4. A small, portable program that I really just wrote for my own use but
  5. decided that I might as well send up.
  6.  
  7. It searches Indexes that you have downloaded from various sites for keywords.

  13. The Command     The Name of the  Keyword          Optional. Allows any
  14.                 Index to search  to search        output to be written
  15.                 and it's path.   for              to a file for later
  16.                                                   viewing.

  18. Basically you invoke the command followed by the name of the index and
  19. it's whereabouts.
  20.  
  21. It fits neatly in aother shell window above the one you're using for FTP'ing.
  22. This means once you've logged into a site and provided you have it's index
  23. somewhere you can just click on the shell window above and find what you
  24. want.  It takes up very little memory and very little disk space, so why
  25. not put it in your C: directory.

  27. If you are searching for a keyword that is very common or just want to
  28. break indexes down into the parts you're interested in then you can add
  29. another, optional parameter that saves any output to a file of your choice.
  30. This is useful when searching, say: Aminet for the Keyword of 3d.  The program
  31. would search the aminet index for the keyword 3d and, obvoiously, would come
  32. up with so many the lists would fill the screen.  A log file helps an easier
  33. search.
